New York Swingset Parts Residential Swing Connectors and Fasteners
Swing fasteners and connectors have 2 purposes: attaching swingseats to chains, and attaching the top of the swing hains to the swing hangers on the structure. For home & residential swingsets, there are 4 options: H-Shackles, Clevises, S-Hooks, and Spring-Loaded Connector Clips. We recommend H-Shackles, which can be opened with only the Allen Wrench tool (S-Hooks, on the other hand, require a pair of expensive S-Hook Pliers). Our summary:
• The H-Shackle opens on both ends. To open and close it, you need the Allen wrench.
• The Clevis opens on one end. To open and close it, you need the Allen wrench.
• The S-Hooks open on both ends, but to open and close them, you need S-Hook Plyers, which may prove costly for some customers.
• The Spring Loaded Connector Clip is the easiest option, but it's not the strongest option. |
